Well I’m in the library procrastinating again.

So here’s some more mindless drivel from my head. I realised this morning that sometimes its actually ok to be me. I have fun. Like this morning, most people who go to a swimming pool, pay good money and then put in their personal worst performance would probably be quite upset, not me. I was excited to have achieved so little, after getting up early and dragging myself to the pool, so in celebration I spent 30 minutes just floating, looking morose and a bit “special”. You know in a finger painting kind of a way.

So now I have lots of work to do and I smell of chlorine. Oh joy. I’m writing a short story at the moment called “The children with electric heads”… I’m expecting a pulitzer(?) prize before I even finish it.

State Library VictoriaI’ve spent the last 4 or 5 days covered in a hideous rash due to the heat. I felt like that Merrick dude, you know the elephant man. It was ok though as I just hid out in the local library and abused the free wireless internet for my own purposes.

I shall just take a moment to point out just how great Libraries are. They’re full of excellent people that you might not otherwise bump into. It seems that the simple act of possessing a library card sets you apart from the rest of society in terms of excelling as a human being. The red wine I’ve been drinking all night is making me ramble somewhat, but last week I watched an old man sleep for approximately two and a half hours in front of my eyes, whilst I photoshopped naked women. Yes I was manipulating bosoms and such like in a public place, you’d think the international languages study group behind me had never seen naked flesh before.

Another excellent thing I’ve noticed about Australia is the cars.

“Ummmmm, it’s 2007 already?”

“Wasn’t it 1997 not so long ago?”

“Did I miss the millenium? I don’t remember it?!!”

The above phrases have all gone through my brain in the past few days, it is a scary thought that we are almost three quarters of the way through the first decade of the millennium. Well I guess as time is marching on regardless, I better make this year count. So I have a list of aims, which I shall fill you in on now… (more…)

Well, 2006 was the year of photography for me it seems, the year began with me buying a second hand Canon SLR off Ebay and taking it to Edinburgh with me. I also made the most of my digital camera before it was stolen by some horrible 12 year old child, so without further ado, here are my top 20 photos of 2006 in no particular order…
