Coding Horror: The Ultimate Software Gold Plating:

Jeff wrote in support for an analog rotary controller … that did not exist. Neither Atari nor third party manufacturers produced such a controller in the Jaguar’s heyday. Jeff, as I understand it, hacked his own together by wiring an Atari paddle controller into a Jaguar controller.

As someone who likes to take the time to make sure that things are done right where possible as opposed to making them just work, I find this story fascinating.

Spin Music and Spin TV

Here are a couple of sites that I just launched for Division Promotions.

They are for two sister companies, Spin Music and Spin TV, who work with clients such as Amy Winehouse, The Sugababes, Coca Cola, Channel 4 and various others.

I just signed up for Last.Fm instead of revising. It’s pretty cool so far.

The basic jist of it is that you install a plugin for your media player that sends the tracks you play on it to a central database and you can then see what has been listened to on your profile page. This means my music tastes are now exposed to the public and I may have to start listening to good music, that isn’t utter shite and embarassing *deletes wham mp3’s*

Anyway, check out my profile here and see below for my latest tracks.
