I own “Search” aka the Big Word Project 0
Whilst reading daring fireball last week, I came across a link to the Big Word project, a simple scheme in which people buy a word for a dollar a letter to link to their site, thereby “redefining” the word.
Sounds a bit like nonsense on first glance, but then again so did the million dollar homepage site when I came across it on Newstoday. So that is why I now own the following words “search”, “gambling” and a word my mother really wouldn’t approve of.
Has it been a success?
In my opinion, not yet. But it may well gain momentum one day and I’m fairly sure I own a few good words if it does, thereby pushing some really pointless traffic at this site. So hang on, I guess not really a success. Ah well.

Update: It’s amazing here. Already seen some amazing skating and stuff, won $500, regretted eating Hungry Jacks and managed to undo my fuck up of booking the hostel room for this time next month
